Dr. Steven M. Ellis
Veterinarian

Steven M. Ellis, DVM, received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 1985 and his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1993. He returned to the Pioneer Valley in 1996 after working in the Boston area and opened Sunderland Animal Hospital in 2001. Currently, along with his wife and two boys, his family consists of 2 cats and 2 dogs.

Dr. Max Charteris
Veterinarian

Dr. Charteris first fell in love with the veterinary field in 2013 while working as an assistant at a small animal clinic in central Massachusetts.

Dr. Annika Creton
Veterinarian

Dr. Creton earned her degree in Animal Science from the University of Vermont in 2020 and went on to complete her veterinary studies at the University of Glasgow in Scotland. After several years abroad, she is excited to return to New England and join the Sunderland community.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Creton enjoys spending time outdoors, exploring new hiking trails, traveling, and relaxing with a good book. We’re thrilled to have her as part of our team and know our clients and patients will love her compassionate care and enthusiasm for veterinary medicine.
